KANSIEC sets nomination form fees for Kano LG election

The Chairman of the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC), Professor Sani Malunfashi, has announced the nomination fees for the upcoming local government elections.

During a press briefing on Thursday, Professor Malunfashi clarified that he is not affiliated with any political party.

He revealed that candidates vying for the position of Chairman of a local government council would need to pay N10 million, while those running for councilorship would be required to pay N5 million.

The elections are scheduled for November 30th, 2024.

Additionally, Professor Malunfashi noted that a different fee structure would apply for women and people with disabilities.

He also stated that individuals currently employed in either the private or public sectors must resign from their positions 30 days before the election.
