Victor Osimhen’s potential move to Chelsea has encountered a setback due to his high wage demands of £500,000 per week. Osimhen currently earns £1.29 million per month under his Napoli contract, which he signed in December 2023 following a standout 2022/23 season. Despite his desire to leave Napoli, Osimhen is not willing to accept a pay cut to join Chelsea, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Although Chelsea is in urgent need of a top striker and has already signed Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid, Osimhen’s salary demands have stalled negotiations. If Chelsea were to agree to his terms, Osimhen would become the highest-paid player in the Premier League.
