Former Nigerian forward Brown Ideye has shared his wife’s reaction after seeing the salary and bonuses he was offered by Chinese Super League club Tianjin TEDA.
Ideye revealed that moving to China was not initially part of his plans, but the financial terms of the offer from TEDA were too tempting to pass up.
In a post on his X.com account on Wednesday, August 28, the 2013 AFCON winner wrote: “I had no plans to go to China. Olympiacos received an offer from TEDA that they couldn’t refuse, and my agent discussed my salary and bonuses with them.
“When I saw the large figures and told my wife, she packed my bags for me to leave the next day LOL…”
