The All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has assured the people of the state that if elected governor, he would prioritize ensuring a 24-hour constant power supply.
Additionally, he promised that farmers and artisans in the state would benefit from an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, along with loan incentives for farmers to make the state self-sufficient in food production.
Okpebholo made these pledges while speaking at the APC governorship campaign rally in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of the state on Friday ahead of the gubernatorial elections to hold September 21st, 2024.
The APC candidate assured the people of Igbanke East and West of his administration’s readiness to improve their fortunes if elected.

He pledged to complete the roads in the community that the Adams Oshiomhole-led administration was unable to finish before leaving office.
He also promised to employ teachers for various schools in the locality and ensure that the primary health facility in the area is staffed by qualified medical personnel.
His administration, he vowed, would prioritize the safety and security of farmers to ensure that the comparative advantages enjoyed by farmers in the local government area are fully utilized to address food shortages in the state.
At Evbuekhae community, the hometown of the Commissioner for Communication and Orientation in the state, Chris Nehikhare, Okpebholo pledged to empower farmers with soft loans, address the lack of teachers in schools, and ensure adequate power supply to the community.
Speaking earlier at Igbanke, the former governor of Edo State and Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Adams Oshiomhole, emphasized his connection to Igbanke, stating that when he was in government, he worked closely with the sons and daughters of Igbanke.
Oshiomhole urged the people of Igbanke to come out and vote for the APC in the September 21 gubernatorial election to end the rule of those who have no sympathy for the people.
Meanwhile, the Director General of the APC Campaign, Matthew Urhoghide, appealed to the people to vote for the APC on election day.
Urhoghide noted that both Edo North and South had agreed with the Esan Agenda, hence their choice of Senator Okpebholo as their party candidate.
Urhoghide expressed confidence in Okpebholo’s ability as a candidate who would listen to wise counsel and meet the people’s needs.
“If you look around, you will see who is who in Orhionmwon politics. The PDP will come, but reject them because they have never done anything for the Igbanke people,” he pleaded.
The former deputy governor, Pius Odubu, told the people, “The only projects or developments you can see in Igbanke were done by the APC. If you doubt me, show me any that the PDP has done,” he queried.
