PDP: Adeleke heads Ekiti caretaker committee

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC), has reconstituted the Executive Committee of the party in Ekiti State.

According to a statement issued on Friday by Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary, Chief Dare Adeleke has been appointed as the chairman of the 19-member caretaker committee.

The members include Hon. Ayodele Joshua, Mr. Agbetuyi Sunday Joshua, Hon. Olonila Ojo Benjamin, Mrs. Mojisola Omotosho, Hon. Ojo Ayeni, Rt. Hon. Abeni Olayinka, Hon. Ademola Alade, and Hon. Afolayan Akutupu.

Other members are Hon. Bobby Jeje, Rt. Hon. Sina Animashaun, Hon. Araromi Akindele Samuel, Hon. Festus Idowu Akinbode, Hon. Ade Fajana, Barr. Ayo Oguntuase, Hon. Olanipekun Boboye, Hon. Adebayo Jackson, Hon. Ojo Fasasi, and Hon. Olatunji Dele Ayofe, who is the Secretary, while Asabo Ayodeji Victor is appointed as the Administrative Secretary.

The formation of the caretaker committee followed the expiration of the previous executive committee’s tenure.

The statement noted that the new committee will oversee the affairs of the Ekiti State chapter as stipulated in Section 21(2) (a-b) of the Party’s Constitution for a period not exceeding 90 days or until a new executive committee is elected.

The NWC urged all leaders, critical stakeholders, and the numerous members of the PDP in Ekiti State to remain united and continue working together for the progress of the party.
