Transfer: Ten Hag Admits Disappointment Over Midfielder’s Departure

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has confirmed that Scott McTominay has left the club and is on the verge of joining Napoli in Italy.

The two clubs have agreed on a transfer fee of around €30 million for the midfielder, who came up through United’s youth system.

Ahead of Sunday’s match against Liverpool, Ten Hag expressed his reluctance to see McTominay go: “I have mixed feelings because I would have preferred not to lose him. He embodies the spirit of Manchester United, so while I’m happy for him, I wanted him to stay.”

United have already secured a deal to sign Manuel Ugarte from PSG as McTominay’s replacement.
