Victor Osimhen’s anticipated transfer from Napoli to Chelsea has fallen through.
Despite strong interest from Al Ahli, the 26-year-old Nigerian striker could not reach an agreement with the Premier League club. This leaves Osimhen’s future uncertain, especially as he has been sidelined by Antonio Conte at Napoli, who has also signed Romelu Lukaku to lead the attack this season.
With the Saudi Arabian transfer window closing on Monday, September 2, there is slim chance Osimhen could still depart Italy. Al Ahli is prepared to pay Napoli between €75-80 million for Osimhen and has offered him a four-year contract worth approximately £33.6 million (€40 million) per season, or £646,154 per week, tax-free.
