Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag praised winger Alejandro Garnacho following their 3-0 Premier League victory over Southampton on Saturday.
Ten Hag commended the Argentine for his impactful performance, saying Garnacho “downsized” Southampton with his display. Goals from Matthijs de Ligt, Marcus Rashford, and Garnacho secured the win for United.
Speaking to MUTV, Ten Hag said: “We are happy when a substitute makes an impact, and he [Garnacho] was the one who downsized the opponent to 10 with a good action and then a good finish. I was pleased with the rest of his performance as well. That’s how players should act from the bench, and we need more of that.”
