FG takes public enlightenment campaign on economic interventions to Jigawa

Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation has commenced mass public enlightenment campaign on the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administrations’ interventions for socioeconomics opportunities and ways of accessing them.

Flagging off the projects in Dutse, Jigawa state capital, the minister of Information and National Orientation, Mr Mohammed Idris said that since inception of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in to office has came off with Renew Hope Initiatives under which number of projects and programmes introduced to improve Nigeria and Nigerians social and ecomical activities.

The minister who was represented by the Head of Federal Information Center (FIC) Dutse, Mala Bashir Dahiru Galadanci noted that “the present administration, has been proactive in lifting Nigerians job opportunities and move the people and youth imparticular out of poverty through various interventions.

According to the Heads of Centre the federal government made so many job and skills opportunities available and simply accessible by teaming youth to be self reliance “and even jobs providers”.

Mr Bashir Galadanci, said “The government is highly concerned about the welfare of the citizens, therefore there is for better understanding and courage to pass through the changes. The Federal governments’ interventions showcased its commitment to boost the welfare of the citizens”.

He said that the interventions are aimed at penetrating to the grassroot for the benefit of all citizens from Federal, state, to local government levels. “This sensitization is to provide the citizens of Jigawa state, good understanding of how to access the variety of interventions.”

The Head of Centre said expressed the need for people to endure and compliment the government, for a smooth transition further, “I’m appealing to Jigawa state people and country at large to key into the interventions in order to explore new opportunities, to improve their living standard.

In his part the Jigawa State director National Orientation Agency (NOA), in the state, Mr Ahmad Tijjani, called for public support to the government.

He said that the Federal Government since inception, introduced policies that affected the living standard of people, thus the need for people to endure and compliment the government, for a smooth transition.

Mr Tijjani added that the present administration, has been proactive in lifting Nigerians out of poverty and excess hardship, through its newly introduced interventions which people need to explore.

The director called for mutual support at a time like this, saying that the is need for imbibing the spirit of management and sharing.

A lecturer at the Sociology Department, Federal University Dutse, Prof. Ali Siro, in a presentation, gave highlights of accessing the various interventions by FG.

He revealed that importance of the various interventions that included Students Loan, Consumer Credit Corporation, Compressed Natural Gas Digital and Creative enterprise and the Small-up Artisan Program.

Other interventions highlighted included the National Youths Talent Export program, National Housing Initiative, NANO Business Support, Nigerian Youths Academy, Micro and small business loan schemes.

The Don, showcased the eligibility, flexibility and repayment mode of the above mentioned intervention schemes and their benefits to the participants.

In a goodwill message, the Emir of Dutse, Hamim Nuhu Sanusi, commended the Federal government for the multiple interventions introduced to cushion the effect of its new economic policies.

Represented by the Senior Counsellor in Dutse Emirate, Alhaji Mustapha Aminu, the Emir called for the review of Civil service rules.

He urged the government to consider the salaries of workers and make the loans more flexible, in order to avoid burden of loan to workers.
