LG election: Nobody can dismiss APC in Akwa Ibom — Akpabio

“I promised I was going to take you to the center. Are you not now at the center? This is just the beginning. We will complete it.

“The problem we have today is nothing but empowerment. You have to eat. We are formally launching the Godswill Obot Akpabio (GOA) Back To Farm Initiative.

“I am starting that with 600 bags of fertilizer per local government in the 31 LGAs in the state. My wife is coordinating that. And the fertilizers will come with bags of rice to all the LGAs. Among projects you will have, at least I61 are ongoing, but you will have more than that.

“You have 14 ICT Centers under construction we are going to commission for your use. We have eight ongoing construction of Police Stations. We have 30 schools currently ongoing. Every LGA in my Senatorial District has a modern market project ongoing.

“Before December we are going to commission seven town halls. We are constructing 14 primary health centers. For Intensive Care Hospital, we are doing one to complement what the state government is doing, all to bring quality health care to you people.

“I can confirm that 42 new roads are under construction. We have already, on ground, 25 transformers to take light to villages that do not have. Get ready for empowerment. Many students of the state are going to get cheques for the second phase of their scholarship across my senatorial district.

“Those not going to school are going to be empowered, including the back to farm programme. I thank President Bola Tinubu for the various appointments for Akwa Ibom sons and daughters. There is N50,000 per month to at 1000 beneficiaries to the 31 LGAs. We are going to complement the state government on food distribution.”

Collaborating the stands of the Chairman, Local Organizing Committee of the election, Senator Ita Enang, the Senate President expressed confidence that the State Governor, as a democrat will not stall the victory of any APC candidate in the election.
