Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has casted his vote on Saturday in the ongoing governorship election.
Obaseki, whose party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is in a tight race against the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), arrived at Unit 19, Ward 4, Oredo Local Government Area, located at Emokpae Primary School, Mission Road, Benin City, just before noon.

The governor casted his vote at exactly 11:57 a.m.
Obaseki expressed satisfaction with the voting process and expressed hope that the collation of results would be conducted fairly and without issues.
