D’Tigress head coach Rena Wakama has assured fans that her team will bounce back from their defeat to France. The six-time African champions lost their second group game at the 2024 Olympic Games to the host nation, France, 75-54.
D’Tigress were expected to challenge the French team after their stunning 75-62 victory over world number three Australia in their opening fixture. However, they fell short in their performance against France.
Ahead of their final group game against Canada on Sunday, Wakama expressed confidence in her players’ ability to improve.
“While we are disappointed with the result against France, we are motivated to put in a strong performance against Canada. A win will ensure our place in the next round,” Wakama told FIBA.com.
