Edo guber: Hundreds of PDP, LP, ADC supporters join APC in Igueben

Hundreds of members from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday in Igueben, the headquarters of the Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.

Upon receiving the new members into the party, the Director General of the All Progressives Congress Campaign Council, Senator Matthew Urhoghide, assured them of fair treatment, stating, “All members in the party are equal.”

He expressed confidence that the APC governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, would not only deliver good governance to the people but would also address their yearnings.

The Coordinator of the APC Campaign Council in Edo Central Senatorial District, Hon. Odianosen Okojie, appealed to the people to come out en masse on September 21 to cast their votes for the APC.

Earlier, the APC governorship candidate, Monday Okpebholo, while addressing party supporters at his home in Ujabhole, Uwesan, Esan Central Local Government Council Area, stated, “My people have asked me not to bother to campaign here because I have their support and votes already.”

A former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, speaking at Irrua, headquarters of Esan Central Local Government Area, declared, “PDP as a party has no candidate as we speak. The Federal High Court in Abuja has said so. The process that brought Asue Ighodalo into the primaries was also faulted by the Federal High Court in Abuja, so don’t go and waste your vote for the PDP.”

Additionally, the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Denis Idahosa, urged party supporters to ensure that on September 21, the votes cast from Esan Central Local Government are “hundreds per cent for the APC.”
