The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) has congratulated Senator Sarafa Alli on his elevation to the position of Ekarun Balogun of Ibadan land and other newly elevated Oba’s and High chiefs of Ibadan land on their prestigious promotion.
In a statement signed by the President-General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes , CCII, Chief Sulaimon Ajeniyi Ajewole and made available to journalists on Saturday , the group stated the honor is a testament to their unwavering commitment to the values, traditions, and development of Ibadanland.
Other elevated chiefs included Oba Tajudeen Abimbola Ajibola who was promoted from Otun Balogun to Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Kolawole Adegbola who was promoted from Asipa Balogun to Otun Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba John Olubunmi Isioye-Dada who was promoted from Ekerin Balogun to Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Dauda Abiodun Azeez who was promoted from Ekarun Balogun to Asipa Balogun of Ibadanland, Senior Chief Akeem Bolaji Adewoyin who was promoted from Abese Balogun to Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland .
According to the group, the elevation of the chiefs is not just a personal achievement but a reflection of their tireless dedication to the service of the great city and its people.
