England Striker Ivan Toney Agrees to £40m Move to Al-Ahli

England and Brentford striker Ivan Toney has agreed to join Al-Ahli following negotiations with the Saudi club.

The 28-year-old has signed a lucrative three-year contract and will soon undergo a medical for the transfer. The deal includes a £40 million fee for Brentford, with Toney’s total transfer cost, including wages, amounting to £100 million.

Toney has scored 72 goals in 141 appearances for Brentford.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank confirmed on Thursday that Toney would not be included in the squad for Saturday’s match against Southampton, regardless of the outcome on deadline day.

“I can say that Ivan will not play on Saturday,” Frank stated. “I am pleased to discuss the players who featured last night [against Colchester] or those who will play tomorrow. Ivan is training well and in good spirits, and I’m happy to answer more questions about him in the future.”

This development follows Al-Ahli’s successful pursuit of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has now joined the Saudi club.
