Former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is on the shortlist to become the next England manager.
The Football Association is exploring options for a new head coach, despite Lee Carsley’s successful interim stint, which included 2-0 victories over the Republic of Ireland and Finland.
Although England performed well in those matches, their first since Gareth Southgate’s departure after an eight-year tenure, the FA is considering other candidates for the role.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Lampard is among the four potential candidates being considered, separate from the possibility of appointing Carsley as Southgate’s permanent successor.
