The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the Imo State, Sen. Samuel Anyanwu has cast his vote as he raised alarm over carting away of electoral materials.
He accused the House of Assembly member representing his Ikeduru State Constituency of being the man behind the snatching of the electoral materials.
He told journalists after casting his vote at Amaimo Obodo unit 12 in Ikeduru LGA of Imo State that electoral materials at 7 wards in Orlu have also been taken away by opposition parties.
He however said that he is not bothered by that situation because according to him, it will not stop his victory at the end of the day.
The PDP candidate reminded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) about their promise made during their last briefing that any unit found to be involved in a crisis must be counselled.
However, the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has also cast his vote in his polling unit in Atta Ward 1 in Ikeduru LGA of Imo State.
Addressing journalists after casting his votes, Chief Iwuanyanwu gave a good assessment of the election which said it was devoid of any crisis.
He said he had received calls from across indicating that the whole exercise was moving very well.
