Bauchi Gov joins Emir, dignitaries for Eid-el-Fitri prayers

Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, joined the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, and other dignitaries, including the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, to observe the Two Raka’at Eid-El-Fitri at the Bauchi Central Eid prayer ground on Wednesday.

The prayers were led by the Chief Imam of Bauchi, Bala Ahmed Baban-Inna, who in his Khituba charged Muslim Umma to continue to imbibe the virtues of Ramadan by abstaining from all sinful acts.

The Chief Imam also enjoined Nigerians to continue to pray for Allah’s intervention over the challenges facing the country, just as he prayed for the success of government policies and programmes at all levels.

On his own, State Governor Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir assured that the palliative distribution exercise would be extended beyond the holy month of Ramadan in view of the growing economic hardship being faced by the citizens.

The governor made the assurance while interacting with journalists shortly after observing the Eid-el Fitr Prayer at Bauchi Eid Ground.

Bala Mohammed said that the worsening economic situation required a collective effort among governments at all levels as well as corporate organisations towards ameliorating the situation.

He described the recent disbursement of N10000 as a Sallah gift to both state and local government civil servants as an unprecedented move by his administration and urged them to reciprocate the gesture through increased productivity.

On the occasion of Sallah celebrations, Bala Mohammed called on the Muslim Ummah to restrengthen their relationship with one another and imbibe the spirit of love and forgiveness to attract Allah’s blessings.
