PDP suspends Oyinlola ex-CoS, Peter Babalola, over anti-party activities

A former Chief of Staff to the ex-governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and the current chairman of the Governing Council of Osun State College of Education in Ila Orangun, Mr. Peter Babalola (popularly known as “Peter Power”), has been indefinitely suspended by the Peoples Democratic Party for alleged anti-party activities.

The suspended party member, according to his ward executive members in Ikire, appears to be a member of PDP Ward 07, Irewole Local Government.

In a letter signed by 17 executive members of the ward, addressed to Osun State PDP chairman, Sunday Bisi, the PDP executives accused Babalola of engaging in unholy acts that could put the party in dispute in the last 2 years.

According to the letter, “After exhaustive deliberation on the various anti-party activities of Elder Peter Babalola in the PDP for the past two years, and his habitual engagements in various activities that can put the party into disrepute, coupled with the fact that he has not attended the PDP ward meeting or Local Government meeting in the last two years, the executive of PDP in Ward 07, Irewole Local government hereby suspend Elder Peter Adebayo Babalola from PDP ward 07, Irewole Local Government with effect today August 27, 2024.”

All efforts to contact the suspended Peter Babalola proved futile as he did not answer his calls or respond to the text messages sent to him.
